Hello friend!
We are officially back!
After an unintended hiatus and a lot of self-reflection and wheel-spinning, I decided to give the blog a bit of a facelift with regards to appearance and content. Don’t see the information you came for? Don’t worry! Everything will be back soon (just not all at once).
What should you expect from the blog now that it’s relaunched? Some oldies (but goodies) like information about historic mortar, how to submit a project to the Chicago Bungalow Association Driehaus awards, and our bungalow photo tours. There will be new content, too! Like a collection of Chicago bungalow layouts(!), how to repair your plaster walls, what hazards may be lurking in your historic home, and maybe even a merchandise drop (what!).
Even though I’m no longer a Chicago bungalow owner, I’m excited to continue to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated (and continue to accumulate!) throughout the years. I spent seven years restoring my 1924 Chicago bungalow in Chicago’s Belmont Cragin neighborhood and my goal is to continue to help other folks prioritize projects, create plans to address deferred maintenance, and troubleshoot design issues in their own Chicago bungalows as well.
You can find our content across three platforms: Our blog, Facebook, and Instagram. You’ll see new blog posts every Friday morning and you can subscribe to receive those posts in your inbox. If you need more content, feel free to reach out and connect with us on our other platforms as well! We’re glad you’re here and we hope you’ll stick around to see what’s new!
